Update: University of Toledo professor charged with stealing own computer

What happened? Thomas Tatchell, 33, an associate professor of health education, was charged with receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence, unauthorized use of property, obstructing official business and filing a false report.

Tatchell had reported his own computer stolen on or before July 12.

Surveillance video showed Tatchell taking the computer on June 8, according to university spokesman Matt Lockwood.

No administrative action has been taken, according to the university.
